FAQ’s

The most common questions I get asked

How to book?

Simply use the contact form to send me a message, leaving your names and contact details.

After I reply to you, just a little more information is required such as date and time of the wedding. Once we all are happy to proceed I will send a booking form to fill in and return. Once a booking deposit is received, your date is firmly in my diary.

How far in advance do you take bookings?

Once you have booked a venue, then contact me. The more in advance you book, the better the likelihood of that date being available, although late availability may sometimes be possible.
Booking earlier will lock in the current price.

What areas do you cover?

I’m East Sussex based, but will travel anywhere in the UK to capture your special day, also I love any excuse to see other parts of the country.

Are you insured?

Yes both public liability, employers and professional indemnity.

What would happen if you are ill on our wedding day?

I have a network of contacts that are professional wedding photographers who I can call on to cover, alongside my own second photographer assisting with their local knowledge.

How long before we can see our photographs?

A sneak peek will be available either later on the wedding day or next day.
These will be social media friendly for you to use as you wish.
A full gallery is usually ready in about two weeks however may be quicker or slightly longer depending upon
workload.

What are edited photographs?

From me you will receive “edited” photographs. These photos will be taken from a RAW image file and have cropping, colour correction and minimal retouching in my style to enhance but not alter the photograph significantly.

What equipment do you use?

I use Nikon professional full framed bodies and professional fast aperture lenses, for low light or no flash situations. Remotely triggered flashes can be used to help me along the way to obtain the “wow” photos. I have spare everything in case of a breakdown. Industry standard Adobe imaging software and apple mac computers for my editing. Online storage with a hard disc backup.

Do you need feeding?

Unlike some photographers, you don’t need to provide food for myself or my second shooter, but a snack and a drink is always welcome.
We usually take a short break during the wedding breakfast and start editing the “sneak peek” review of photographs. During this time we recharge ourselves and camera our batteries ready for later.

What if it is bad weather?

After all of your meticulous planning, the one thing no-one has any control over is the weather. This is where a pre wedding scouting trip to the venue pays off. I will plan a variety of couple and small group photographs inside and using time served skills and a blip of magic off camera flash. But if you are prepared to brave the elements for a few minutes, we can capture some spectacular moments, especially at twilight.
